Tusitala, Inc was established in 1972 and began to do business as S & S Seafood Company in 1983 when George (Stormy) and Norma Jean Spellmeyer had a desire to process, pack, market and distribute the top quality shrimp being produced by our fleet of boats.
After years of going to sea and changes in the industry, Stormy decided to process, pack and market his own shrimp products. Our brand, Sea to Shore derived its name from the wild caught shrimp being produced by our fleet, coming directly from the Sea to the Shore processing facility.
While the shrimp industry has seen many changes over the years, there is one thing that hasn't changed, and that is the taste of fresh caught shrimp of which we have strived to preserve. Our loyalty to the shrimp industry is to continue to process, pack and market only the best of shrimp being produced.
